Wild Water Group accepted onto Business Wales Accelerated Growth Programme

Wild Water Group’s strategic growth expansion plans have received a major boost by being accepted onto the Welsh Government’s Business Wales Accelerated Growth Programme (AGP), which is designed to support high growth businesses in Wales.

The programme forms part of the Welsh Government’s Business Wales Entrepreneur and SME support services and is exclusively targeted at businesses who want to enter their next growth phase and have the potential and determination to achieve these objectives.

Having fulfilled all the eligibility criteria after an in-depth business diagnosis, Wild Water Group will now have the benefit of access to AGP support and funding.

Wild Water Group has a current annual turnover of the order of £5m and has plans to grow the business to £10 million over the next 3 to 5 years with additional investment.

Mike Fenwick, the Group’s Finance Manager says,

“To be accepted on to the AGP programme is a strong endorsement of our long-term strategic plans and the support available from AGP will be of benefit to the management team as we continue to establish ourselves as a leading operator in the temperature-controlled storage and distribution sector.

”With the recent purchase of a 130 000 square foot storage facility in Aberbargoed, and the recent signing of a freight forwarding agreement with leading global logistics giant, GAC, Wild Water Group are now geared to manage the attractive import and export business opportunities in the Food and Drink sector.

“Our long-term plan is to offer our customers a streamlined product supply chain package to provide them the opportunity to integrate their co-packing requirements with the Group’s warehousing and transportation services.”
