Wild Water Group has sponsored many varied and interesting projects over the last 6 years, however never envisioned to see it’s company flag flying high on the historic Inca Trail in the Andes mountains of southern Peru.

This all came about when young entrepreneur Jarrad Morris, of Elite Vehicle Sourcing, approached Wild Water Group earlier this year to sponsor his trek to Machu Picchu – the ancient Inca capital city and one of the ‘Seven Wonders of the World’ – with the objective of raising funds for Cancer Research Wales and the Valindre Trust.

Cancer Research Wales is one of the leading cancer charities in Wales, dedicated to the pursuit of a cure for cancer and making vital progress into prevention, early diagnosis and better treatment for cancer patients.

By recently completing the 10-day trekking challenge, Jarrad raised an impressive £4000 for the cause and his tour group raised £125,000 overall.

Wild Water Group Managing Director, Ken Rattenbury, said “We are really pleased to have got behind Jarrad on his trip to South America – such a worthy cause and a substantial amount of money that he and his group raised for Cancer Research. Well done.”

Jarrad said, “The Inca trail was an unforgettable experience, with the most incredible scenery. From snow-capped glaciers to sub-tropical vegetation, we’ve seen it all. It really was a heart-warming experience for a charity that touches the lives of so many families. We really couldn’t have done it without the kind support and donations from our sponsors. We’re looking forward to the next challenge.”
