But, not just exciting… ECSTATIC times!

Yes, Wild Water Group is ecstatic to have been included amongst 49 other fast-moving Welsh businesses in the July 2019 edition of Business Insider.

The Business Insider’s Most Exciting Companies list editorial ‘highlights 50 innovative, fast-moving companies who are setting the pace for their industries in the UK and further afield’. (Business Insider)

So what qualifies us this year as one of the countries up and coming pacesetters?

Wild Water Group has increasingly evolved to become a key strategic partner to the Welsh Food and Drink Sector and having recently bolstered the Groups’ regional temperature controlled storage and handling capacity (with the renovation of their 130 000 sq. ft Aberbargoed facility), will qualify the company as the leading industry participant.

Wild Water Group has a current annual turnover of £6m and looks to increase that figure by a further £2m within 12 months. The company now operates over 250 000 sq. ft of cold, chilled and ambient storage and estimate with the advent of the new ‘24/7’ high and low care Co-Packing facility (in Aberbargoed), will reach £10m within a 2-3 year period.

The Group also successfully initiated and developed an import/export platform with GAC Group, one of the largest global supply logistics companies, to help local food industry export initiatives. This endeavour facilitated Calon Wen, Wales’ flourishing dairy farmers co-operative brand, with its first export order of organic products to the Middle East.

Other recent highlights were the purchase of Compass House, a 6000 sq. ft office block adjacent to the companies existing cold storage and blast freezing facility in Merthyr Tydfil, and notably, that the Group has been accepted onto the Welsh Government’s Business Wales Accelerated Growth Programme (AGP), which is designed to support high growth businesses in Wales.

With World Cup Cricket fever in the air, we can’t help but mention too that Wild Water Group signed a 5-year partnership deal with Glamorgan County Cricket Club to retain the naming rights to the ‘The Wild Water Lounge’, one of Glamorgan’s premium hospitality and event lounges at Sophia Gardens.

Wild Water Group management believes this is just the start of great things to come for the organisation and therefore continually strive to build on its reputation as a trusted and reliable food consolidator within the Welsh Food & Drink Sector.
